It was formally evident that NGOs/ CBOs in the rural areas that are intervening in the awareness campaign against human rights abuse are hampered by poor downward and upward information flow.

It is also important to note that most organization start as small community based organizations with little experience in human rights and capacity to employ skilled personnel.

Hence the formation of AHURIO to build the capacity of these organization.

It assumes a participatory planning with all its member organization in order to avoid duplication of services and conflict within the region. It looks at networking as the only option if respected for human rights is to be realized and also work towards quality NGOs to bridge the existing gap in the rural areas.

The organization aims at strengthening the capacity of member organization through training, information sharing, legal awareness advocacy and lobbying for a favourable environment to work in.
